eBus: GCSE Business Studies Email Support Service

Edexcel is delighted to announce the continuation of its hugely successful email service. eBus started in September 2005 and aims to provide a monthly injection of new ideas to support your class teaching and exam preparation.  Each issue is written by Ian Marcousé and provides high quality, topical materials for immediate classroom use.  The aim is to save you time while helping you bring the subject to life through the immediacy of the material.

Monthly email support for GCSE Business Studies with Ian Marcousé

Key Features

  • Highly topical business case material
  • GCSE classroom activities and worksheets
  • Monthly updates from Senior Examiners and Moderators
  • Fully up-to-date Scheme of Work will be provided with references to useful materials available to support your teaching
  • A monthly message board, listing training events and student conferences
  • Reviews of new text books and classroom materials

The idea is to provide you with some up-to-date material that you can use in the classroom straightaway.  An additional benefit is that, because you will receive it electronically, you can amend questions or later update the case material very easily.  Over time, the issues will add up to a rich teaching resource.  As this could eventually become unwieldy, Edexcel will provide subscribers with a CD of the full year (together with an index) at the start of the following academic year.

Method

The key to this service is clear communication between you and us.  This is an email service and all issues will be sent to an email address that you provide.  Please take extra care to check your precise email address before writing it down.  If you wish to put down two addresses, that is fine - this could be for you and a colleague or for your work and home email.

Cost

For nine issues during 2006/2007, the total annual cost is just £44.  For this, you will receive an electronic issue via email on the 10th of each of the nine teaching months of the year: September, October, November, December, January, February, March, April and May.  Although the material is the copyright of Edexcel, for the year’s subscription you will be able to put it on your network/intranet/VLE without extra charge or paperwork. Additional email addresses (beyond 2) can be added for £8 each, so that all your colleagues in the department can benefit.

NB: Unfortunately eLearning Credits may not be used to acquire this product/service.
